Bisimoto is no stranger to Hyundai tuning ? back in 2019, Bisi approached CSF back in need of an upgraded intercooler for his factory-backed Veloster N SEMA project. Pushing the limits of the N platform, Bisi?s car featured upgraded turbos and high-performance tuning, resulting in the OEM intercooler showing its weaknesses and inability to shed heat from the turbo system.With technology taken from CSF?s #1 selling BMW N54/N55 intercooler, the front face of the intercooler features CSF?s exclusive rounded bar/plate design, which aids the air entering the intercooler core by curving around the front bars rather than hitting and scattering on the surface of a traditional flat-bar faced intercooler.CSF?s stepped-core design maximizes all of the available frontal area behind the front bumper and underneath the crash bar. The stepped-core protrudes upwards in front of the A.C. Condenser and sits just shy of the crash bar, for both the Veloster N and i30 N.Through prototype testing and data acquisition with Bisimoto, the decision was made to keep the OEM-sized inlet and outlet connections. This resulted in low pressure drop, even considering how much larger the CSF intercooler is ? in addition, this feature removes the need to include costly and unnecessary silicone hoses, allowing CSF to offer the N community the best value, entering the market at the most aggressive price point.The CSF #8192 comes in a silver finish. It is also available in black (CSF #8192B)The CSF #8192/8192B are for Manual Transmission only. The CSF #8238/8238B are available for the DCT equipped Veloster N/i30 N. The CSF Veloster N / i30 N Intercooler's Stepped Core Design maximizes surface area contact and internal intake air-flow volume.
